Prana Flow - An organic and dynamic vinyasa class, inspired by the movements of nature and the flow of form. Designed to enliven the experience of practice with creative and breath-fulfilled sequences. Simply stated, "Prana flow" is the flow of life.
Body Mechanics - Rolfing and yoga complement each other by improving structure, balance and flexibility. Rolfing developer Dr. Ida Rolf used yoga to further our understanding of human structure. Over the past seventy years interest in yoga has grown steadily in the West, and now there are many expert instructors teaching from a variety of yogic traditions. Dr. Rolf's personal study of yoga, osteopathy and homeopathy contributed to the evolution of her Rolfing principles. She aligned her vision of Rolfing with the goals of yoga, "a physical system that enriches the student's body, mind and spiritual well being through an understanding of structural balance."
Contact Yoga - This class is designed for folks looking to deepen a pre-existing personal practice through physical contact. We warm up as a group, emphasizing integration of a strong core to prepare the balance and control necessary for connection with others. Developing our skills in both verbal and tactile communication, we'll assist each other in flexibility and strength-training drills in pairs and/or small groups. Along with demonstration and instruction in ACTIVE spotting, there will be an opportunity in every class to leave the ground! We release this work by finishing with therapeutic assisted stretching / massage. Keywords: trust, flight, handstanding, body-climbing, challenge, adventure.
