Gigi

I stumbled upon the practice of yoga in the summer of 2006 while finishing my undergraduate degrees at UT Austin. I was immediately attracted to the healing power of yoga and have been a devoted practitioner ever since my very first class. My love for yoga grew as the practice not only helped me gain physical strength and flexibility but also enriched my life off the mat in a number of wonderful ways, including a much deeper sense of connection with humanity and the universe.

My classes are strong, playful and yet introspective and meditative. I encourage and support my students to explore the essence of our being through experiencing the intricate relationship between movement, breath and awareness. I believe that through persistent and dedicated practice we can all better experience life as it is and connect more deeply with the truth and light within us.

“Now, just as we are, we can begin. No need to wait until we’re more centered, or stronger, or happier. Now is the time and through our practice we can move into our center, our strength, our joy.” ~Patanjali’s first yoga sutra
