Yoga is an 8-limbed path, yet in most studio classes we focus solely on the third limb, asana. In this training, we will develop and integrate the first and second limbs into our yoga practice, on and off the mat. The first limb is yama, how we interact with the world, and the second limb is niyama, how we take care of ourselves. Together, these serve as the ethical guidelines through which we shape ourselves and our relationships. When observed and practiced habitually, they lead us to a life of peace, joy, purpose, and unparalleled fulfillment.
